Sic Parvis Magna
 It all began in Segrate, Italy… a suburb of Milan.
Massimiliano Avenia was born to a family of sailors and grew up in a sailing environment.
His father owned a shipyard and built sailboats. He put Max to work building those boats as far back as he can remember. Father (Emilio), brother (Manuele), and Max have all sailed around the world – sometimes together, often alone. In any case, it was family of salty dogs.
Max is a yachting engineer. He left Italy over 20 years ago to follow his passion… exploring the far reaches of the world through sailing and working on yachts. People have brought their yachts from all over the world so that Max can work his magic in fine tuning their machines into the beautiful dancing sailing vessels they became under his care.
Max has always enjoyed keeping up the ancient tradition the Egyptians started in working with sailing knots. As his soul sought out new lands, he would make one of a kind nautical gifts for those he met along the way.
His journey brought him to our country a few years ago where the demand for his custom artwork grew. Each piece is handmade by Massimiliano Avenia and his work is displayed in art galleries in both the USA and Europe. It is the perfect gift to remind you or a loved one of sailing or your house on the sea. These unique, custom made works of art have been used instead of the usual trophies for sailing races, meetings, any kind of contest, and graduations…
